The Bean's Beans

We love good beans, and searching for a great partner has been such an exciting part of this journey. We're committed to serving a variety of brews and some of our favorites are listed below.

Good Folks Coffee Company - Louisville, Kentucky

The Bean was destined to meet these good folks. Great friends of ours recently opened a distillery in Bloomington, Indiana (Cardinal Spirits - http://cardinalspirits.com). Cardinal Spirits and Good Folks are working on a coffee liquor together, and our friendship grew. Currently, The Bean serves Good Folks' Fast Track Blend and Guatemalan Blend, along with their decaf.

Oh, and you know that oh-so-good cold brew we serve at the Farmers Market. Yep, that's Fast Track.

The Breaks Coffee Roasting Co - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

These guys love coffee, and are committed to a great product. I've seen the roasting in person, and wow - it's impressive. Located just up the road, The Breaks has been in business for about a year. Two cheers for small businesses!

Check out their Absolute House Blend. We did and it's terrific. Come try that and more at The Bean.

Coffee Talk

It's always been a dream of mine to start a coffee shop. A bit more...

Name: Leslie Gerrish

Things I love: Running, fashion glasses, yoga, really good TV, my dogs (Monty and Nelson) and being an aunt - oh, and coffee!

Guilty pleasure: The Bachelor series and McDonald's coke

Why a coffee shop?: I think it's more about the environment - creating a warm, comfortable place excites me.

LOVermillion?: Yes! I Do! It's been my home for about 16 months. I love the ease of living here, the friendly community, and the small town pride.

If I could live anywhere else: Maybe New York City. Or back home again in Indiana!
